Principal accountabilities:
Principal accountabilities for Assistant Executive Directors of Business Development will include the following and Project Managers will play a supporting role in the delivery of a similar range of tasks and responsibilities.
- Providing leadership, direction, and decision making support for departments and sections and employees, all directed toward high quality of care and service
- Participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of program and services
- In collaboration with senior post holders, identifying fiscal requirements of assigned departments, reviewing budgetary recommendations, and monitoring the expenditure of budgeted funds
- Promoting, facilitating, and supporting an integrated approach to patient care
- Working with relevant Business Partners in HR and Finance on matters including, but not limited to hiring, merit recommendations, promotions and transfers
- Communicating and representing opinions, policies, concerns and needs of the assigned areas
- Overseeing design and implementation of processes for quality improvement activities, staff development, and performance review systems
- Ensuring coordination of support services to deliver customer centric services.
- Assisting in establishing and developing policies and procedures for the assigned areas of responsibility and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Providing leadership support in risk management (legal, regulatory, clinical) issues
- Exhibiting ability to react to and manage change
- Participating in committees, as assigned
- Undertaking additional tasks as required
