Principal accountabilities:


Principal accountabilities for Assistant Executive Directors of Business Development will include the following and Project Managers will play a supporting role in the delivery of a similar range of tasks and responsibilities.

  • Providing leadership, direction, and decision making support for departments and sections and employees, all directed toward high quality of care and service
  • Participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of program and services
  • In collaboration with senior post holders, identifying fiscal requirements of assigned departments, reviewing budgetary recommendations, and monitoring the expenditure of budgeted funds
  • Promoting, facilitating, and supporting an integrated approach to patient care
  • Working with relevant Business Partners in HR and Finance on matters including, but not limited to hiring, merit recommendations, promotions and transfers
  • Communicating and representing opinions, policies, concerns and needs of the assigned areas
  • Overseeing design and implementation of processes for quality improvement activities, staff development, and performance review systems
  • Ensuring coordination of support services to deliver customer centric services.
  • Assisting in establishing and developing policies and procedures for the assigned areas of responsibility and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Providing leadership support in risk management (legal, regulatory, clinical) issues 
  • Exhibiting ability to react to and manage change
  • Participating in committees, as assigned
  • Undertaking additional tasks as required
